BOYS LOVE PLAYING WITH BOXES

Today they were helping me clean, then they decided to play with the box. They call it the BIRR'S GOCART. How funny it is that still at their age they love playing with boxes. Even more funny it did not cost a thing. Maybe that is all we will give them for Christmas.

Vacuums

Hello to all my fellow house cleaners. Every 6 months it seems like I am buying a vacuum and my husband is constantly saying "didn't we just buy one?" and my response is "why yes dear we did, but this one is no longer doing the job or I can not get a filter." So the other day 2.5 months after buying a brand new vacuum I could not find the filter I needed. So I was told to go to a specialty vacuum store. I bought a Riccar vacuum and I love it. No more bag less. I have had it about a week. When I get to that 6 month mark I will let you know how it is. However it did come with a 3 year warranty and any time I need any work done I take it to the shop. If you have a vacuum you really like or favorite cleaning tip please let me know. The correct way to vacuum is to leave alligator teeth that is what my aunt told me when I was vacuuming for her one day :)

Just playin

The biggest snow man we have ever seen

Isn't he so cute!!
He seems so small on the 4 wheeler, but it is just a reflection of how big he has gotten

On top of the hill they slid down

Lots of white lots of fun

Just have some fun in the snow

Lots of snow

So between Friday and Sunday night we got a lot of snow. In some parts of Billings they got 30inches. Just on our deck we got Well you can see the 12 inch ruler. The power went out Friday night about 11pm then came back on about 6am. Then Saturday it went out at 10:30pm and did not come back on until 10 Sunday morning. Thank you who ever invented the Gas Stove. We still had heat. So after we got a little warm we decided to play, because in Billings the snow is gone the next day. We had a blast. We took the 4 wheeler and pulled the kids on the sled.

Fall Is Here

Fall is here or should I say winter. We are suppose to get our first snow storm on Friday. The boys are so excited and so am I(not really). The snow does not last long around here, it is usually gone with in 24 hours. I would love it to last longer, so that when we build a snow man it will be there for a few days instead carrots and sticks in a pile.
Jeremy is away and we hope he will return by Monday, but the guy keeps adding and then he referred Jeremy to another guy. Good and bad he has work but he is away. Can you say single mom. Jer and I have been talking he would love to slow down and I would love to start my own business. I was thinking of becoming an organizer. Some ladies from church have asked for my assistance and I have given it. I also love to cook, and decorate cakes. We just had a progressive dinner it was a lot of fun. Appetizer were served here, then we went to dinner and dessert some where else. I made several appetizers that I had never made before. They were all gone. So between organizing and cooking I am not sure. Maybe someway I can do both.
McKaden is almost done with football he got a total of 30 sales he made it half way to his goal. The last game will be on the 18Th. The stuff he knows amazes me, we got recorders from the dollar store and he taught McKennen how to play 3 blind mice. During school time I allow him tonz of time to talk, because all the knowledge is built up and his brain will explode if I don't. It is like he goes to bed and while he is sleeping his brain collects all the data it can while he is a sleep. WOW is all I can say. I thought my brain only went fast.
McKennen is so glad football is almost over he does not like his play time to be interrupted and it has been. He loves to learn from his brother, but sometimes gets annoyed and wants some quite time. He believes he has a freeze pipe that was not connected at birth. Because he can eat an ice cream in about 3 bites and it does not give him a brain freeze. He also believes that there is a camera inside that divides liquids from solids. He is a little confused about how the body works and is wanting to become a OB GYN (in his words "a doctor who gets babies out") So here in the next few weeks we will be discovering the body. I wish they had the body world coming up this way I would take the boys. We looked it up on line and they were so fascinated. I don't believe they will come here as Montana is 10 years behind and that is 30 years ahead. But we can wish. Well that's what the Birr family is up to . I hope to have my business up and running the first part of the year so any input I would love. I have done research on Professional Organizing and Cooking comes natural.

3RD game

Hi to every one.
My little guy is getting discouraged, as this is their 3RD game and they have not won yet. Please keep him in your prayers as he is very competitive. He is on the front line and next to the quarter back. This game he went to fast and coast the team to be penalized not once but three times. The kid on the other team keep on saying "hut hut hut" and while he was saying that he would twist the ball, making McKaden think that the ball was in play. He is discouraged but I know he has the drive and determination inside him he just has to bring it out. The team is playing better and that is what counts. I know nothing about football but I will have to learn the plays so I can help him. Thanks to all who made a donation He has a totoal of 24 and is short 36.
KEEP GOING MCKADEN YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB. I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH AND REMEMBER NO ONE DEFFINES YOU. YOU ARE ONE OF GODS CHILDREN AND YOU NEED TO REMEMBER THAT.

Home School

So as you can see the boys are at home being Home schooled.
Jeremy and I went in for an IEP (Individual Education Plan) meeting on September 12Th. McKaden has had this plan sense 1st grade. It has been nothing but a nightmare. When Mckaden was in the 2ND grade I decided to pull him and McKennen out to be Home schooled it was a nightmare Jeremy was mad and not happy with the way things were being done. (He did not understand how home school worked) He was also mad that I made that decision with out his full consent so the situation was not good. The thing that Jeremy was not seeing was the IEP meetings that I by myself was attending. (McKaden is not a hundred percent perfect no kid is.)
When we moved to Three Forks we thought he might receive a fair chance NOPE the stupid IEP followed and they went off that. Next thing we were forced to take our child to Shodair a mental hospital. Where for 13 days he ran a muck when I say forced I mean we were told if we did not take him they would call the cops or child protective services. Not knowing all our rights we took him. Latter we got a $23,000.00 bill Yes that is the correct amount they are saying we owe. Knowing it was not by choice to take our son there and we had no insurance they continued to tell us to not worry about the bill it would be taken care of. Jeremy and I refuse to pay and are fighting it. Well the house did not work and so back to Billings we came and the place we moved put us back at the school that caused this mess. I did not put the boys back in school until a month later. Then God blessed us by moving from that school district. We were so excited to be able to go to a new school yes the IEP would follow but they promised to give him a fresh start. Well the 1st week he had an aid that went with him every where she would not allow McKaden to use the bathroom if some one was in there and no one was to go in if he was in there. Then he had assigned seating in the lunch room. Well on the 12Th we told them that we no longer wanted the IEP (I stayed up late nights looking at all our rights see a couple of blogs back) I first started off with deducting hours (for every hour that is on an IEP the school gets extra funding did not know until I researched then I found out LOCKWOOD had him at about 30-35 they did not have to specify how many hours they were banking on my son and he was not getting that much special education. In fact the principle said no more we are ruining a bright kid.) So I took the counselors hours off (found a counselor out side of school a must do not allow them to counsel) then I removed another 2.5 Hours that were the same hours they already had but put in different terms. So we were left with 5hours Then Jeremy said there is no reason for my son to have this plan I want it removed. They began to tell us how our son would not be protected and would be treated as any other child. "WELL DUH THAT'S WHAT WE WANT" so back and forth Jer went with this Yahoo of a lady (mind you they were still blown away that I just cut their funding by taking hours away) she said we could get the behavior label removed. Then as we were ready to agree she looked at his IEP again and realized he was also labeled emotionally disturbed. She said because he is labeled ED then we have to go back 6 months and there would be several people breathing down his neck for the next 6 months. Jeremy said I HAVE HEARD ENOUGH YOU ARE NOT GIVING MY BOY A FAIR CHANCE AND YOU ARE DESTROYING HIM HE CAN GO TO FOOTBALL BE A TEAM LEADER, GO TO CHURCH BE A KID WHO PLAYS WITH EVERYONE, AND WE CAN TAKE HIM TO DAYCARE AND THERE IS NO PROBLEMS BUT WE SEND HIM TO SCHOOL AND THERE ARE ALL SORTS OF PROBLEMS AT THIS POINT AND IN THE FUTURE MY SON WILL NOT BE ATTENDING PUBLIC SCHOOL AND IF THERE IS ANY OF THIS BUSINESS TOWARDS OUR OTHER SON HE WILL BE PULLED ALSO. Then they questioned if we McKaden's parents knew what we were doing. I told them I know more what I am doing for my son then what they are doing to him.
McKennen the next week went to school on Monday got hurt on Tuesday had to come home stayed home on Wednesday put up a fight on Thursday so we kept him home again he was not going to school, Friday he was so mad that his behaviors were nothing like we had ever seen. Jer went to pick him up from school and he had all his stuff told his teacher I don't like it here I am being home schooled. Jer and I prayed lots before the meeting and did a lot of talking at the meeting before the finale decision was made to home school Mckaden. Mckennen had made the decision himself. Technically I did not make the decision to home school Jer did. It has been a lot better with him making the decision then me. He is all for it. Am I scared yes because I don't want them to miss anything, but we can go as fast as they want or as slow the boys want to go fast. We can take them and get them tested every year or every other. It must be something with the schools here because more and more parents are pulling there kids out of schools to be home schooled. To confirm the funding for the hours Jer went in and talked with the principle he said "I know this school was closed down for funding reasons and that you get more funding for every kid you have on an IEP or labeled with special education" she said "Mr. Birr I can not Deni what you have said it is true." after she said that my husband was furious he felt like our kid and other kids were just dollars to the school.
Well that is the reason why we are homeschooling it was not a decision that we woke up one morning and made it was a decision that Jer sought wise counsel, lost sleep over, and prayed about. The finale decision home school. McKennen has not given us no more problems and went back to the nice boy he was. We latter was talking with some people and they said it was for the best to pull McKennen because to many times they have seen where one was pulled then the other became the target. Well that is whats happen over here at the Birr's

Home school

" I am almost done doing my work, but aren't I so cute"

Home school

McKaden is supposed to be taking his math test instead he found a truck.
"Math test not wanting to take"
" okay mom you caught me i am playing. I am sorry I will get back to work."
Consentrating so hard.
Yes!!!! I got the answers right!
